Mother of the Bride or Groom

Is your son or daughter’s big day coming up? We know you mothers have put all your time and money into the wedding the last thing you think to do is go out and buy a gown for yourself. Most mothers come in just weeks before their child’s wedding in hopes of finding a gown. Don’t forget this isn’t just your child’s day but your day as well. You will be photographed and mingling just as much as the bride and groom, so why settle for frumpy?

We suggest you start shopping as soon as possible. Most mother’s gowns take at least 12 weeks to get in so realistically you should be shopping 5 months ahead of time. When you shop early you are allowing yourself more possibilities with styles and colors.

We are conscious of the fact that with every woman have areas they would like covered. Many of our gowns have matching jackets or shawls. The chiffon seems to be the most popular material as it allows room to breathe with still being very flattering. The colors range, but the most popular colors are darker tones of purple, brown, and black. Silver is also a top contender.

  1. Its one of the most memorable occasions a mother can be a part of, the day their son or daughter walk down the aisle to bond themselves with their soul-mate. As mother of the bride or groom, the role you play is going to be as important as any other member in the bridal and groom party - even more so depending on the formality of the event and the traditions being observed. So it's important to consider not just the ceremony, but how you, the Mother, should dress - not only to compliment the happy couple, but to compliment your fuller figure or plus size shape.
